Pernahkan kamu menulis surat pribadi pribadi? Anak muda zaman milenial tentu sudah jarang menulis surat kan ? Kamu lebih sering komunikasi melalui WhatsApp, BBM, Facebook, IG atau media social lainnya. Tapi cobalah tetap menulis surat, karena banyak sekali manfaat menulis surat. Nih beberapa manfaat menulis surat:

Manfaat Menulis Surat

1    1. Melatih kerja otak

Aktivitas menulis surat akan melibatkan kemampuan motorik sehingga otak terus diasah untuk berfikir merangkai kosakata menjadi kalimat yang baik dan mudah dipahami.

2    2.  Menjadi lebih fokus.

      Menulis surat akan meningkatkan fokus dan konsentrasi, sebab ketika memikirkan isi pesan dalam surat kita akan fokus agar pesan yang kita sampaikan mewakili apa yang kita ingin sampaikan dan dapat dimengerti oleh penerima surat.

     3.   Membentuk diri menjadi orang yang lebih santun dan bijaksana.

Di tengah banyaknya pemberitaan hoak dan bulliying, belajar menulis surat akan membuat kita belajar mengkomunikasikan/mengekspresikan apapun dengan lebih baik di media sosial.  Ini penting banget nih untuk kamu dan kita semua agar lebih memilih kata-kata yang baik, santun, dan bijaksana sebagai bentuk pencerminan diri, saling menghargai dan menghormati dengan penerima surat.

Secara psikologis menulis surat mampu mengakomodir perasaan, bisa mencegah kepikunan, mengurangi stress, membantu berbicara dengan lancar, meningkatkan kreatifitas, membuat kita menjadi lebih sehat dan menjadi bukti nyata, surat terlebih dalam tulisan tangan akan meningkatkan memory otak kita.

Struktur dari Personal Letter

• Date (Tanggal) = Biasanya tanggal ini ditulis pada kiri paling atas. Tanggal ini menunjukkan   kapan waktu surat ditulis.
• Address (Alamat) = Bagian ini adalah tempat dimana kamu menulis surat atau alamat asal si pengirim tinggal. Alamat ditulis pada bagian kanan atas.
• Salutation & Name (Salam & Nama) = Bagian ini menuliskan salam pembuka dan nama penerima surat. Contohnya "Dear...", "Dearest...", "Sweetheart", "Darling", "My love" dan lain-lain. 
• Introduction (Pembukaan) = Pembukaan dari surat biasanya dimulai dengan sebuah pembukaan seperti tanggapan dari surat sebelumnya atau bisa juga awal perkenalan diri jika kalian baru memulai surat-menyurat.
• Body (Isi Surat) = Bagian ini merupakan isi atau inti dari surat. Pada bagian Body ini kalian menceritakan semua isi surat yang ingin kita ceritakan        
• Closure (Penutup) Bagian ini menunjukkan bahwa surat akan segera berakhir.
• Complimentary close (Salam Penutup) = Bagian ini merupakan ungkapan penutup pendek seperti, "With love". "Sincerely yours", "With love", and so on
• Signature (Tanda tangan) = Bagian ini berada di bawah complementary close, kalian bisa membubuhkan tanda tangan atau bisa juga hanya inisial nama kalian saja.

Dear Mam Sum,

Assalamualaikum Mam,

I’m Qinthara from 11 Ak 1.  Do you remember me? Actually, I’m a little bit scared to write a letter to you. But I want to tell you that I’m a big fans of you!.  You are my inspiration mam !. Every time you talk in the class.  I always remember. And the words that I really love is “Hi, that’s yesterday! Yesterday is yesterday and today is today. Just forget it!”  I really love that quotes! I don’t know why. Maybe it’s a suggestion. But every time  I remember what you say I always be new me. I always want to be better and I forgot all the bad things yesterday and make a brand new day. And one more, you always tell  us to be positive people. And I try it. It was nice to be positive people! I don’t really care about what they say to me. Especially their’s bad words to me. It’s because of you Mam. You always happy in any situation like you don’t have any problem. And I wan to to be a psychologist like you. I want to be able to influence the lives of others to be better and I want to know everyone’s personality. Wow, I’m so relieved to have told you all. Keep healthy mam ...  pray for me to be like you Mam. 
I think it’s enough. Thank you for every things Mam, you are the best teachers!

Dear Novi,

Hi Novi, it's been 2 years we have’t met after you moved to Kalimantan. How are you now? I hope you are always as good and healthy as I am here. I am very glad to be able to write this letter for you because I miss you so much. Do you miss me too?.  You know what I miss the most after you moved to Borneo?.  I really miss our togetherness when we eat noodles together. Do you remember …  you always win if we race to eat noodles because I just know if you eat noodles, you don’t chew and I think it's very strange and silly he he…  I also miss the times we play together, take you for a walk, share about funny things and many more. When can we meet again? I'm looking forward to it. Do you still remember about the boarding house you used to live in? Now it has become very nice and the water is plenty he he … , so you do not need to buy water. What about your new school? Do you feel comfortable and love it ? I see in the photo that  you just up load. You get a lot of new friends, congratulations! You do not have to worry about me.   I have many friends here and they ‘re also funny. Oh ya, I just finished doing the job training in the tax office. I’s really exciting. Even though, there are some that make me upset but I'm there to learn to keep smiling and be patient to everyone. And in there,  I am grateful to get a lot of experiences and now the development of me in typing on a computer or laptop has started to increase he he…   I want to know your plan after graduation, do you want to go to college or work first? If I, I want to work and study by  my own expense. so as not to burden the parents, and I also attempt to find college with scholarship from the value of my school record. hopefully I can. Don’t  forget to reply my letter ! because I want to know stories about you there, and say Hi to the family there. Many things we went through both happy and sad but it’s exciting . I want to repeat it again …

Hmmm … a few days ago I saw you make status in WhatsApp you said you are sad because I left you. Sist… You must know ...  I also failed to move on from you, OMG I’m so embarrassed to say it …. I want to go back to do  job training again so I can meet you. We can talk about Korean drama, then I heard about your complicated love affair, and then your silly dream that made me laugh. I really miss you … What should I do ? Do I have to go to Hyper mart everyday to meet you ? ha ha ha …

By the way I heard you moved to the cashier, is it right ? Why do you want it ? Why do you still stay there? Why don’t you move  ? You have undergraduate degree, You’re smart girl , I strongly believe many companies will accept you. Many times I say just like that but you still survive there. I’m surprised . Don’t take too long to hold the pain Sist… I say like that because I love you . I know you must be touched …
